Chuck Donnan's ability to avoid hitters in slumps led to a dominant May performance in the 5th Annual BRS Museum Home Run Contest.
Donnan had the most points among the 109 entrants of this year's contest. His selections of 15 major leaguers tallied 127 points for the month, well ahead of Colt McLeod's second-place total of 120 points. Donnan had only one player with fewer than four home runs in May, that being Paul Konerko. As most of the leaders did, Donnan selected Miguel Cabrera in Tier 1. Cabrera's 12 May homers earned Donnan 36 points.
