|Christmas Walk in Nokomis|
Although the area picked up several inches of snow early in the day, Nokomis businesses enjoyed some additional traffic on Saturday, December 14 as a result of the Christmas Walk in downtown Nokomis.
The BRS Museum was one of a number of local establishments open in the morning and early afternoon, attracting shoppers and the like to the area. Although the roads were treacherous in the early morning hours, that did not deter Santa Claus, who made his way on Route 16 in a fire truck.
The museum welcomed a number of visitors, many of whom signed up for door prizes. Winners were Sally Keenan (t-shirt) and Emily Cress (stocking of candy). Thanks to all who visited.
